Hi
Regularly visit forums that are related to your products, or your level of experience.
What I mean by this is you probably won’t have much luck marketing a book about pets on a gamers forum, and if you are a new marketer you may find some forums geared toward the more advanced…as a matter of fact, some forums are downright hostile to newer memers so find one that is geared toward your expertise if you are one of the many Newbies trying to find your way.
The great thing about he Newbie condition though, is that it’s a temporary condition!
Now, as for the forums, make posts, answer questions and provide advice that is helpful and generally indicates that you know what you are talking about. Don’t Spam the forums you visit as it may result in you getting banned from the site.
In your forum profile, enable your signature and include a link to your product site within it. This is a great way to get traffic to your site in no time. When people see you post sound advice they generally want to know more about what you have to offer, so what do they do? They click on your signature link and voila!!! You have a targeted visitor, pretty simple and not very time consuming.
Best Wishes
Steve
