I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately about Private Label Rights (PLR) content. I used to think that it was only for lazy people who didn’t want to do their own writing. But as I learn more, I’ve come up with lots of great ways I can use PLR in my own business.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, PLR is content that you get from the original author along with their permission to use it as your own. So you can get a great report, put your name on it and have your own product to sell or give away!

The first couple of products I created using PLR only took me about half an hour. There have been a few sales so far from them so that was definitely time well spent.

When searching for PLR content to use, I found there were a lot of different types of sites available. Some offered monthly memberships and others offered just one time purchases. So be sure to look around before you decide where to buy.

The site I found that was by far the best was PLRWholesaler. Not only do they have an unbelievable amount of content, but it’s completely FREE. Most sites charge an arm and a leg for the amount of content that this guy is giving away.

And although I haven’t been through everything yet, what I have read is very good quality. It’s stuff you would actually want to use as your own.

Since it’s free, I highly recommend that you check out PLRWholesaler and see if they have anything that you can use in your business. There just may be an ebook or audio recording that you could quickly brand with your information and start selling to your list.

Successful Forum Viral Marketing

In order to be successful using forums to do viral marketing there are some things that are required.

Do Your Homework: Prior to joining any forum, you must do some research.

1.    Join relevant forums that are in some way related to the promotion’s primary sales market. For example, someone involved with a health related product, many types of forums could apply….everything from holistic medicine to stay-at-home moms.

2.    Choose popular forums.  There is no point in wasting your time and energy on forums that few members and few posts. Page raking and the amount of active members are two good ways to check for this.

3.    Choose forums that allow sig tags.  If it’s possible read the rules before joining and pay attention to them. Your time is important, too.  It is better to find out that a forum doesn’t allow posts with sig tags before you go to the time and trouble of joining.

After You Have Joined: OK…you have chosen two or three forums that meet your requirements…now what?

1.    Keep your sig tag short and update it regularly.  The ideal thing is to limit yourself to one link, preferably to your main website.

2.    Never create posts that are nothing more than an advertisement. This is  a universal rule and only displays the marketers lack of experience if he does so.  At best this kind of post will be deleted by the moderators….at worst, it is grounds for being banned.

3.    Work the room.  Be an active member on the forum. Plan to spend at least an hour each day there and take the time to get to know the users. Take the time to introduce yourself with intelligent questions depending upon the forum’s topic.

As a marketer becomes a regular member, they will hopefully develop a good reputation and without saying a word about their promotion, those who are interested in their product will approach them.

Chance Pryor – Attains Karate Black Belt At Age 12

This post is about an accomplishment that was achieved on Saturday June 27th, 2009

Chance Pryor (my son) who is 12 years old and will be entering the seventh grade this fall at Cobden Jr High in Cobden, Il.  attained the rank of  1st “dan”  or 1st “degree”" black belt”

in the martial arts discipline of Tae Kwan Do (karate).

Chance has been taking lessons since age six with Grand Master Jeff Forby,  an 8th (dan) degree black belt, also from Cobden, in Mr Forby’s school,  USMSK) United States Moo Sul Kwan in Murphysboro, Il.

At the testing seminar which was held over the weekend of the 26th and 27th of June, there were participants from Illinois, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada and Utah.

Students testing for advancement in rank had to perform various skills successfully in front of a judges panel consisting of five “senior ranking”  black belts who were at least the rank of 4th “dan” or 4th “degree” or higher.

Some techniques the participants needed to show superior proficiency in were…forms and stances, sparring ability,  defense against attacks with weapons, and many others.

The Moo Sul Kwan school is located at 220 N. 11th St in Murphysboro, Il.

Job-Loving Tips for Employers and Employees

Bet you’ve heard this before, you’ve probably even said it yourself

“I hate this job!”

You hear this often from people who are not satisfied with the job they hold. But they can’t do without this thing called “job”  because it brings food to the table, buys them clothes and shoes to keep them in fashion, buys medicine to keep them healthy, and pays for almost everything they need on a day-to-day basis. Technically, it’s ironic that something like a “job” would be hated by so many people when it can bring them many benefits.

Psychologically, if you hate your job, it only means it’s something you do against your will. Anything that resists a flow makes the flows difficult. Similarly, anything that assists a flow makes the flow move faster.

Equating this with the way you may think about your job, if you put “love” instead of “hate” to your job, work becomes easier for you. This will make you more productive. The company will profit more. As a result, they will pay you more. Then, everybody becomes happy.

If you are the employer, you can also do many positive changes that will benefit your employees. In the end, you will be the biggest beneficiary of this change.

You can start by putting up slogans around the walls of the workplace. These slogans may promote unity and harmony between management and staff where everyone will benefit out of it. These slogans may suggest positive attitudes that will form part of their work habits. There is power in words. These words, once written on slogans, will guide your staff to change in positive ways. It would be wise to turn these words into action. In time, the “I hate this job” chant becomes “I love this job”. This improvement in work attitude will be reflected in turnover of employees. As an employer, you will find less people leaving the company and more employees being satisfied.

Visitors visiting your company will be impressed with the slogans you place on the walls of your work place. So make them as meaningful as possible.

If you’re the employee, you must make a change in the way you think about your job. It cannot be denied that hating or loving a job has a lot to do with the way you treat it.

There are many instances wherein an employee does not see the good side of his job until he has left or lost it. You need not wake up one morning to this kind of scenario. To avoid this, let the good side of keeping your job pervade your thoughts.

Here’s another formula to make you love your job. Treat your job as though you are doing voluntary work. Think of your job as though you are helping the needy without expecting anything in return. You will be astonished with the result it will bring to your heart, health, and pocket. Treating your job as volunteer work makes you work wholeheartedly, without any resistance.

It’s either you keep your job or you don’t.

Hating it is not really an option.

Cobden “Lady” Appleknockers – Softball State Champs….AGAIN!

Although this is mainly a blog dealing with information for online marketers and those that want to be, I want to take this opportunity to tell you about an amazing group of young ladies from the small village of Cobden, Illinois (POP. 1,200) who recently won the Illinois Class 1A  State Softball Championship for the second year in a row  in a grueling 19 inning marathon.

The final score…. 1 to 0

The game was a rematch of the same teams that made it to the championship game last year, which Cobden won 5 to 2 in 11 innings.

This team, the girls (and their coaches) who worked so hard to achieve this rare feat, will become legends in this small community, as did their basketball predecessors, the 1964 Appleknocker boys basketball team which finished second in the Illinois State Tournament, before there was a class system.

A state title for a school of this size is a remarkable thing, but back to back state titles…under two different head coaches, now that is some legendary stuff.
